At Omniblue we pride ourselves on our environment friendly workplace initiatives. Less paper, more saving, less energy, more time; we strongly believe in the virtues of green.
Our 5-prong approach to a clean environment.
Paperless Office: As far as possible we do not print. When we have to, we encourage double-sided printing. Likewise, with faxes and invoicing, we use e-faxing and e-billing. All our files and folders are stored in our virtual database. We minimize the use of note pads and use MAC ‘Notes’ for scribbling.
Travel: OmniBlue has partnered with Zipcar as a one-stop commuting provider for employees. Zipcar is the world’s largest car-sharing service, that opposed to traditional rental car companies, only provides hybrid car models.
Conservation: We only use energy-efficient MAC computers. We also make sure that we don’t have computers, lights and other electronic equipment running through the night. Our employees have also reduced the use of styrofoam glasses and plates in the pantry.
Flex-Hours: Our use of Skype, Google Docs and other E-tools, has made us a virtual office. We allow employees to tele-commute and have adopted a ‘flex-hour’ work week to save commute time and energy.
Clients: Our clients are the pillars of our success and most of them are going the eco-friendly route as well. In this issue we turn the spotlight on to a few such clients.
